I was reading our local paper this morning an article about the migrant workers here in South Florida. They are being helped because the cold weather has caused them to be layed off. Sounds some what simular to the problems of folks in Kalamazoo who were out of work because of the ecconomy. What bothers me is the comments made following this article from readers that were mean spirited telling these folks to go home, their not wanted etc. They are Hispanics who work hard bringing in food we buy at our supermakets. Without them, these people making unkind comments whould be paying much more for the produce we buy for our table and no one else will work in the fields like they do.
