The best projects are seeded from a talent or passion -- and sometimes from something that catches our eye every day. Like that spot of bald ground at the Courthouse or Post Office. That favorite jogging path that needs come pruning. Or, maybe a school field or activity center that just needs some TLC. Feeling ambitous?
► When you find a project here that interests you, 'volunteering' will send an email to the project coordinator who will contact you with more information and event details.
It doesn't take much to show you care. In dozens of ways, thousands of people will be teaming up with United Methodists during the third-annual Change the World event on May 19-20.
More than 1,144 projects are searchable here.

I’m a member of a United Methodist church that welcomes and affirms me unreservedly.
Ironically, the denomination I’m now a part of hesitantly welcomes me with reservations, conditions and restrictions; because I’m gay.
Looking to the Book of Discipline for understanding I only find confusion and inconsistencies.
47 different kinds of projects registered so far, like community repairs, helping food pantries, awareness walks, park clean-ups, neighborhood gardens, and downtown beautifications.

► I am so glad I volunteered. I have a real passion to help my community feed and clothe those hard-pressed by the tough economy around us, and I spend the afternoon doing just that!

Honoring his legacy is as simple as supper with your neighbors.
"Dr. King envisioned a “beloved community” where brotherhood is a reality that does not allow poverty, hunger and homelessness to exist."

Seventh Generation's Accountability
Could You Plan Seven Generations Ahead? When most of us see the words “free and clear” we’re ready to celebrate having a debt paid rather than think about the products under our kitchen sink.
One corporation in particular is the catalyst for a grassroots “free and clear” movement with a focus seven generations out. That’s like planning the seating now for a barbeque party July 2152!
