Today I watched our former youth pastor participate in a wedding of two members of our youth group from over a decade ago. Watching these kids grow up has been so rewarding. It is clear the impact he had on their lives.
Got the weekend free? Here's an idea for turning those spare hours into someone's prayer.
In the spirit of 9/11, recognize your local first responders (especially if they are volunteers), help a blood drives, urge family friendly to learn CPR, see what your county offers as a disaster response/relief class, food pantry collections, or help a Habitat build.Originally Posted: Sep 2, 2011
Making September 11th a day of HOPE!
On 9/11, the citizens of Park Ridge (IL) will gather to commemorate an item from the World Trade Center in New York City donated to the city and to honor the 10th anniversary of the World Trade Center/Pentagon attacks with a day of remembrance and HOPE-affirming volunteer action across our community.
A six-foot tall, 200-pound steel beam from the World Trade Center will be unveiled at Maine East High School during HopeFest at 7:30 a.m. on September 11, 2011.Originally Posted: Sep 2, 2011
